Women’s Tea

It’s tea time!

Grab a friend and join us for a traditional English tea! We will be serving savory sandwiches, scones, desserts, and two types of delicious tea. Limited gluten-free options are also available! Hats and gloves are optional.

Please make sure to register before April 1. Limited spots are available. Registrants must be 18+ years and the cost per person is $10.

In lieu of flowers we invite you to donate to the Reggie Epps Memorial Fund that will be used for empowering future ministry so that the covering of Christ may grow in the world.

Christian Financial Resources (CFR) will process all donations (Check or Electronic) and send donors a gift receipt. Donations will be deposited into the newly established giving fund account for future grant payments.

Kids, come dressed in your favorite pajamas and ready to enjoy inflatable fun! Delicious pancakes and fun times will be served for everybody after both services! (Allergy-friendly foods included!)

WHAT THEY DO: Firm Foundations Ministries equips men and women to move from imprisoned to empowered. Their Freedom Initiative exists to disciple leaders impacted by incarceration to plant churches that transform the world.

WHAT YOU CAN DO: 

  • TUMI Mentor: Use your love of teaching to facilitate theology classes in the Lansing Correctional Facility and/or the Quindaro Freedom Initiative Center in KCK.
  • Mentors: Use your natural skills at encouraging and coaching others to mentor program participants.
  • Class Facilitator: Help train Freedom Initiative leaders both in Lansing Correctional Facility and/or the Quindaro Center.
  • Worship Leader: Lead worship at the Lansing Correctional Facility, Quindaro Center, or Lenexa location.
  • Property Maintenance: Use your handy skills to help keep their properties operating.

WHAT THEY DO: A Christian organization assisting international students and scholars adjust to life in the US and promoting cross-cultural friendships.

WHAT YOU CAN DO: Legacy has a Life Group that consists of Legacy members and international students and scholars. These cross-cultural friendships often allow them to share the love of Jesus with the next generation of world leaders.

WHAT THEY DO: A Christian boarding school that heals teens, restores families, and transforms communities. We believe, through our ministry, we can be God’s instruments in reclaiming the stories of teenagers from trauma to triumph.

WHAT YOU CAN DO: Tutor in the on-campus school (especially math); teach art, music, PE, culinary arts, or personal finance; become a one-on-one mentor; join the prayer team; assist with picking up groceries, unpacking them, and putting them away; help with facility and grounds work; assist with administrative tasks.

KU Campus Christians

WHAT THEY DO: KU Campus Christians is a non-denominational ministry at KU striving to make disciples who love and follow Jesus Christ.

WHAT YOU CAN DO: Provide a meal on a Monday night at The Gathering; assist with maintenance and grounds work on workdays; provide rides for international students to and from the airport; provide a Holiday Home for international students not returning home during winter break; join KUCC students on spring break missions trips.

Serve at Rosehill Elementary

WHAT THEY DO: Rosehill Elementary is a Title 1 school that is a neighbor to Legacy’s Overland Park Campus. We have joined with their Community Partnership Team to support and encourage staff and students.

WHAT YOU CAN DO: Individuals can work in either an educational support role or as a mentor with students at a frequency of their choice through the Shawnee Mission MVP Program; fill in the volunteer gaps as needed for Rosehill school events; give to Legacy’s school supply drive each July; give to other staff blessing opportunities; give to Legacy’s Blessing Tree during the Christmas season to support families in need; join in the occasional service project.
