Austria Missions Trip

TRIP Date tbd

Interested in going to Austria with a Legacy team?

Welcome to Austria and more specifically to beautiful Haus Edelweiss, home of TCM International! TCM (Taking Christ to Millions) is staffed with professors who train pastors and Christian leaders around the world, equipping them to make an impact in their home countries and regions.

Legacy began supporting TCM in the early 1970’s, making them our longest Global Missions partnership! Legacy supports TCM both financially and through service. Countless Legacy members have served at TCM, allowing the students and professors to focus on growing God’s kingdom through the educational opportunities at TCM. While serving at TCM, short term mission trip members stay busy as part of the kitchen crew, facilities crew, or grounds crew. Most rewarding, however, is the opportunity to build relationships and pray with the students at TCM.

Please pray for the students at TCM as they continue to prepare for ministry in their home countries. Pray that the Lord would use them in BIG ways to make disciples and plant churches for His Kingdom.

If YOU would like more information on serving at TCM with a Legacy team, reach out to Legacy’s Missions Coordinator, Angie Teeple ([email protected]) today!

Mondays | 7:00-9:00pm | Room 203 | Starting September 18

God of Deliverance

“Blessed be the Lord, who has delivered you.” —Exodus 18:10

With that introduction, we enter into the story of the Hebrew people in the Book of Exodus. No longer under the protection of their forefather Joseph, the children of Israel became slaves to the Egyptians. But God was raising up a deliverer in Moses, to lead His people from bondage to freedom so they could worship Him. The exodus of the Israelites shapes our understanding of the whole Bible, its themes reverberating all the way to Revelation. Exodus is the birth narrative of a nation unmistakably guided by the Great Deliverer.

In this 10-session verse-by-verse study of Exodus 1–18, Jen Wilkin shows us that Israel’s story is our story: the same God who delivered Israel also delivers all those He loves from slavery to sin and from service to the pharaohs of this world. He lifts our eyes to the promised land He has prepared where we dwell with I AM and worship Him as the one true God.

This study starts Monday, September 18th and goes for 10 weeks until November 20th in room 203 from 7pm-9pm. You can purchase your own book, “God of the Deliverance-Bible Study Book: A Study of Exodus 1-18” from Amazon or any other bookseller. Please contact Debby Middleton ([email protected]) for questions or details.

Girls Night Out!

Mark your calendar and sign up today for Legacy’s annual ROOTED Women’s Event. We would love for you to join women from all over Kansas City and as we’re reminded, encouraged, and challenged to choose joy in the Lord no matter what life throws our way.

Rooted is a time to gather with others! A girls night out with friends, to talk, laugh, encourage, hear some good news, and accept the challenge of being Rooted in Joy. We will hear from a panel, join with others in worship, and joyfully eat some sweet treats as we spend the evening together.

We strongly encourage you to invite a friend, neighbor, and/or co-worker to join you. Go to dinner as a group before the event but be sure to arrive before 7pm to grab your T-shirt. The shirts are first come, first served in both size and number available.

ABIDE (1, 2, & 3 John) | Wednesdays 9:00am-11:00am | January 17-March 20

A 10 week Bible study by Jen Wilkin

How can we hold on to assurance of our faith? How can we discern the truth from a lie? How can we know God loves us?

In three short letters, the apostle John reminds an early church facing division, deception, and doubt to hold fast to what they know and to live like they believe it. And he reminds us, as well. In this 10-session Bible study on the letters of 1, 2, and 3 John, Jen Wilkin helps you see how two thousand years later, his words call to Christians in similar challenges to recall a great salvation and to abide in the truth.

Values of Legacy Moms

  1. We will love and accept each other through genuine, authentic friendships. Proverbs 27:17 “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.”

  2. We will support and encourage one another by always pointing to Biblical TRUTH. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 “Encourage one another and build each other up.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.”

  3. We will help one another through selfless service. Mark 10:45 “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”

  4. We will challenge one another to be accountable for spiritual growth.  2 Peter 1:5-8 “For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
