Sermon on the Mount

Jen Wilkins, in this nine-session study, presents the Sermon as one cohesive message, intended to challenge us to think differently about the full meaning of being a follower of Jesus and a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven. In her words, “Come and learn from Jesus, just as His disciples did.”

Topics will include the Lord’s Prayer; a study on blessedness; a study of religious devotedness, money, ambition and relationships. See how these all create the greatest sermon in history, The Sermon on the Mount.

Books can be purchased at Lifeway.com (Individual study book $15.99 or study book with video-streaming capability $24.99). To save on shipping and handling, all books can be ordered through Diane if so desired – sign up and notify her of your wish to do so.

BIBLE STUDY HAS ENDED
WEDNESDAY: God of freedom

9:00-11:00AM | Onsite | Begins January 18

Synopsis of this study:

God of Freedom is a 10-session study of Exodus 19–40. Journey through the story of how God cares for His children and gives them freedom. You’ll explore timeless Bible stories like when God gives the Ten Commandments, or when God’s people choose idolatrous worship of a golden calf, and even when the intricate tabernacle is built. With a fresh perspective, you’ll get to hear and discuss what these stories teach God’s us today about how to live as those set free.

Values of Legacy Moms

  1. We will love and accept each other through genuine, authentic friendships. Proverbs 27:17 “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.”

  2. We will support and encourage one another by always pointing to Biblical TRUTH. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 “Encourage one another and build each other up.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.”

  3. We will help one another through selfless service. Mark 10:45 “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”

  4. We will challenge one another to be accountable for spiritual growth.  2 Peter 1:5-8 “For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
