The exodus of the Israelites shapes our understanding of the whole Bible, its themes reverberating all the way to Revelation. Exodus is the birth narrative of a nation unmistakably guided by the Great Deliverer.

In this 10-session verse-by-verse study of Exodus 1–18, Jen Wilkin shows us that Israel’s story is our story: the same God who delivered Israel also delivers all those He loves from slavery to sin and from service to the pharaohs of this world. He lifts our eyes to the promised land He has prepared where we dwell with I AM and worship Him as the one true God.

The Names of God - LS Women's Study

Join the Lee’s Summit women for a study by Melissa Spoelstra called,  “The Names of God – His Character Revealed”.  It can be hard to make sense of God with all the suffering and injustice in the world. Sometimes He seems elusive, and His instructions in Scripture are often confusing. With so many questions about God, how can we really know Him better? By learning more about His names!  Books are available through various sources.

For more information, please contact Diane Yearns (dyearns49@gmail.com).

Fall Fun Fest

October 24 | 4-7pm | Overland Park campus

The Overland Park Campus is going to gather together for fellowship, community, and fun! Come and enjoy a barbecue and meat smoking competition, a potluck, an exotic petting zoo, inflatables, and more!

Those participating in the cook-off will arrive at Legacy bright and early at 7:00 AM to set up and enjoy cooking together while streaming the Sunday service and the Chiefs game afterward.  Please make sure to bring a side dish and an unchurched friend! We want this event to be an evangelistic opportunity as much as it is an opportunity to enjoy community as a Church body!

If you would like to learn more about Fall Fun Fest and/or if you would like to serve at the event, please reach out to Noah Hoskins VIA email at nhoskins@lcc.org

See you there!
