The Single Mom KC – Victim to Victorious Workshop

Saturday, April 25 | 8:30am - 2:00pm | Location: Blue Valley Campus | cost: FREE

Sign Up to Serve!

Serving at this workshop helps to invite single moms into a meaningful journey of reflection and hope—helping them identify the challenges that leave them feeling alone, overwhelmed, or stuck with no clear way forward. Through practical tools, encouragement, and compassionate guidance, women are empowered to experience freedom, renewed confidence, and a vision for living victoriously rather than feeling defined by their circumstances.

Legacy has a wonderful opportunity to serve and support these single mothers by volunteering in the following ways:

  • Set Up (Friday) – Help us transform our space into a welcoming environment for hope and restoration (3:00pm – 5:00pm Friday).
  • Welcome Team or Registration – Offer a warm, friendly welcome as moms arrive and help set a tone of care and belonging (7:45am – 9:30am).
  • Childcare – Partner with The Single Mom KC staff and volunteers to provide a safe, engaging, and fun environment for children (8:00am – 11:30am OR 11:00am – 2:30pm).
  • Food Team (no cooking) – Help serve breakfast and lunch to single moms and their children, creating a space that feels hospitable and valued (8:00am – 10:45am OR 10:30am – 1:30pm).
  • Floater – Be the “glue” that holds the day together by providing flexible support wherever it’s needed most to ensure a smooth and joyful experience for every family. (8:00am – 12:00pm OR 11:00am – 2:00pm)
  • Clean Up (Saturday) – Help us clean up and prepare the building for Sunday! (2:10pm – 3:30pm).
