Welcome Our Senior Pastor, Dave VanDonge! 

 

We are thrilled to share some exciting news with you—Dave VanDonge has accepted the call to serve as Legacy’s new Senior Pastor! After a season of prayer, multiple conversations, interviews, and in-person meetings, our Administrative Elders extended the offer, and Dave graciously accepted. 

 

Dave brings with him a clear calling from God to lead and serve, along with a deep passion for faithfully communicating and guarding God’s Word. He is a humble and experienced leader with a true pastor’s heart for people. 

 

Dave has served in leadership at several large multisite churches, including Christ’s Church of the Valley in Phoenix, AZ, and NewPointe Community Church in Dover, OH. His background and gifting make him uniquely equipped to shepherd the flock at Legacy in this next season. 

 

Dave is married to Rachel, an elementary school teacher. Together, they have three children—two daughters in college and a son who is currently a junior in high school. Dave is a graduate of Manhattan Christian College, and Rachel holds a dual degree from MCC and Kansas State University. Both are originally from Kansas and have family living near the Kansas City area. 

 

We are incredibly grateful for how God has led this process and are confident that Dave is the right person to lead Legacy into the future. Please extend a warm welcome to Dave, Rachel, and their family as they transition into this new season of life and ministry.

  2. Pray for the VanDonge Family – Ask God to give Dave, Rachel, and their children peace, strength, and clarity as they navigate multiple life transitions in the coming months.

  3. Pray for Dave’s Leadership – Pray for spiritual discernment, wisdom, unity, and strength through the Holy Spirit.
