The Blessing Tree

Gifts Due at your local campus by December 12

View Campus Registry!

‘Tis the season for blessings! Legacy wants to show love to families and the surrounding community by providing gifts for Christmas! We are reaching out to the city’s schools, single parent homes, widows and even those who are just having a difficult year, to show the love of Jesus by meeting tangible needs!

To Give a Blessing:

Blessing Trees will be at every campus for you to view a registry of needs, select gifts to purchase, and bring back for families! You can also view a campus registry online here! Here’s how it works:

  1. Take an ornament from the Blessing Tree at your local campus and scan the QR code to view a registry of needs. If you aren’t able to worship onsite, you can still participate and view the registry here!
  2. Select your campus in the online registry.
  3. Select the item(s) you want to purchase and note the tag number on top (Ex: OL 10A-1). Tap complete!
  4. Purchase the gifts you selected and bring them to your local campus by December 12!

Legacy Moms

9:00-11:00AM AT THE OVERLAND PARK CAMPUS (Oct 12, nov 9, dec 14)

Welcome to Legacy Moms! In this gathering, we build community for new and expecting mothers through biblical teaching and small groups where you’ll be paired with a Discussion Leader and a Mentor Mom. These groups are a wonderful, safe place to connect with other moms like you, share prayer requests, and build new friendships. Leaders and Mentor Moms are committed to supporting you and loving you.

Community is not always comfortable, but we must choose to commit anyway.

This year we’re going to focus on being mama bears who stand firm. As we study how to stand firm in our faith, we’ll hold onto these core values of Legacy Moms:

  1. We will love and accept each other through genuine, authentic friendships. Proverbs 27:17 “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.”

  2. We will support and encourage one another by always pointing to Biblical TRUTH. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 “Encourage one another and build each other up.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.”

  3. We will help one another through selfless service. Mark 10:45 “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”

  4. We will challenge one another to be accountable for spiritual growth.  2 Peter 1:5-8 “For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Legacy Moms meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at the Overland Park campus from 9:00-11:00am. We will follow the SMSD for any weather cancellations.
