The Campout

a weekend for dads & kids | may 16-17

Legacy’s Olathe Campus is excited for the first Campout for dads and kids! You can arrive anytime after 4:00pm on Friday afternoon/evening to get camp set up and leave whenever on Saturday morning. Bring all your own camping gear. If you want to make dinner and breakfast – feel free! Bring fishing poles, yard games, or anything else to have fun with your kids! The Campout address will be provided in registration.

Please register so we know how many s’mores to bring. For more information contact Bryant Pittman or Dakota Varland.

LSM Serve Day

April 11 | 9:00am-1:00pm

All 6th-12th grade students are invited to join us to serve with Coldwater of Lee’s Summit for a spring break service opportunity on Friday, April 11th from 9:00am-1:00pm. Lunch is provided.

We will spend a day helping to organize their food pantry, sorting donated clothing, and prepping the building for their distribution service that takes place every Saturday.

Students can be dropped off and picked up directly from Coldwater of Lee’s Summit at 838 SW Blue Pkwy, Lee’s Summit, MO 64063.

Mad Science and Pancakes with a twist!

We’re following up on an amazing Kids Week with an exciting science-filled event. Mad science will be on site during our 9:00am and 10:45am services to create some mind-blowing experiments. You won’t want to miss the foam explosion!

Chris Cakes will also be on site serving up fluffy, delicious pancakes with a special, gooey, and colorful slime-inspired syrup! Pancakes will be served after services.

Don’t miss the fun, food, and science on June 8th!

Lee’s Summit Campus Clean Up

March 29 | 9:00am-12:00pm

Join us to bring the Project Advance spirit to our campus this Spring! We’ll be working outdoors clearing some brush, trimming shrubs, and planting new flowers to help beautify our grounds and help welcome newcomers more warmly. Bring work gloves, rakes, leaf bags, shovels, and other outdoor tools that may be appropriate for the jobs. It will be a fast and effective morning with your help!

We are collecting snacks for Rosehill Elementary to support local kids during their week of testing, and Indian Woods to fill their food pantry for students in need. Please bring individually packaged nut-free snacks to the Connection Center by March 23. Thank you for sharing the love of Jesus with our community in this very practical way!

KIDS Global Vision

KIDS Global Vision Sunday is a special opportunity for Legacy Kids to ignite their passion for global missions.

This immersive, interactive experience brings Legacy’s Mission Partners from around the world to life. Through engaging displays, children will hear captivating stories, handle cultural artifacts, experience authentic scents from various countries, and even taste native foods from each continent.

Our goal is to broaden their understanding of global missions and create a memorable connection with our partners. We hope that Global Vision Sunday plants a lasting seed in the hearts of our children, inspiring them to become future disciples who impact nations.

Run Club

Starting April 1 | Tuesdays at 6:00am & Thursdays at 5:30pm

Join us for Legacy Run Club!

Starting April 1st, 2025, we’re kicking off a fun running community. Whether you’re a runner or a walker, everyone is welcome to get moving and stay active!

Tuesdays will feature a 5K run, and Thursdays will alternate between 5K runs and High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) sessions—offering a mix of endurance and  strength-building exercises. Register today & let’s move together!

Men’s Burger Tour

The Lee’s Summit Men’s minsitry is getting together for lunch (11:30am-12:30pm) to sample 6 weeks of the best burgers KC has to offer! As we have made tradition at this point, those who register will be sent email reminders for our times and locations each week. They will also be asked to help evaluate each destination with a short survey after the meal and at the end of our tour, a BEST BURGER CHAMPION will be crowned! Please note: attendance is come-and go and we understand that not everyone will be able to make it every week. Join us when you can.
