04 Aug MOPS
MOPS IS A PLACE THAT GETS MOMS:
MOPS is for moms who have children birth through Kindergarten age or who are currently pregnant. We understand your unique needs, challenges, and joys in this vital season of early mothering. You will be welcomed in our MOPS group just as you are! At MOPS, you will have a chance to socialize with other moms, hear great teaching, have discussion time, and participate in creative activities.
WHERE & WHEN?
We meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month, September through May. We meet at Legacy’s Overland Park campus in the Parlor (Room 115) on the lower level.
9:00 -11:00 am Morning Group 7:00 – 9:00 pm Evening Group *Childcare check in available 15 minutes before the meetings start
During MOPS meetings, your children will be cared for in a program called MOPPETS, where they experience love in a preschool-like setting. This includes age-appropriate curriculum, playtime, and a snack. Interested in serving? For questions or to volunteer contact Carolyn at 913-888-4284.
Registration fees cover MOPS International dues as well as various needs for the semester. MOPS provides quality mothering resources and as part of your MOPS International membership, you will receive a one-year subscription to Hello, Dearest magazine, weekly email messages, access to MOPShop, and other MOPS International benefits. Membership with Legacy Christian Church’s MOPS group also includes childcare, crafts, hospitality, and other activities throughout the year.
This year, we are offering an online registration with MOPS International. This fee is paid directly to MOPS by you. You can register with MOPS ($24.95) at www.mops.org.
When joining our MOPS group, we ask that you register with us, also, and pay the $40 fall membership fee (payable anytime between August 1 and September 30) and then the $35 spring membership fee (due before January 31). Or you can pay for the whole year in the fall ($75 total fee). These fees cover expenses for our MOPS group including meals, crafts, and other needs as they arise. This fee is in addition to the $24.95 paid to MOPS. OR If you choose to wait to pay for MOPS International membership through the church, your fees will be adjusted. There will be a $65 registration fee for your first session and $35 for participation in the second session. You may pay for each session separately OR you may pay the fees for the year ($100) in the fall.
Checks should be made payable to “Legacy Christian Church” and must accompany your registration form in order to hold your place. Scholarship forms are available from a Coordinator upon request.
HOW TO JOIN:
You can register with MOPS International at any time. Registration for our group is now open. Please use the link below to register with Legacy MOPS. If you attend a meeting as a visitor and then decide to join, you can fill out a paper registration at that time.
