Thank you for loving our neighbors in the Kansas City area! We will meet at the Blue Valley Campus at 7:45 am for check-in, Chick-fil-A breakfast, and prayer. (If you are serving at Mission Southside, please meet at the Olathe Campus at 7:45 am for check-in, Chick-fil-A breakfast, and prayer.) We will dismiss by 8:30 am so we can arrive at our serve locations by 9:00 am and be done by 12:30 pm (or earlier, depending upon your serving location). WHAT THEY DO: Help KC’s homeless men and women experience freedom from the past and hope for the future through the love of Jesus Christ.
WHAT THEY DO: It is the mission of Joy Meadows to provide families with community support, housing, and resources so that children impacted by foster care can find stability, healing, and joy.
WHAT THEY DO: Putting God’s love into action by extending help through hope. Many people cannot open their hearts to Christ until the weight of their physical needs has been lifted. We look for opportunities to have meaningful conversations that can lead to spiritual conversations. We have a heart that loves Jesus Christ and one that genuinely cares about the needs of others.
WHAT THEY DO: The Single Mom KC calls single moms to join us in community by providing resources and equipping their family to be restored into a better story.
WHAT THEY DO: Firm Foundations Ministries equips men and women to move from imprisoned to empowered. Their Freedom Initiative exists to disciple leaders impacted by incarceration to plant churches that transform the world.
WHAT THEY DO: A Christian boarding school that heals teens, restores families, and transforms communities. We believe, through our ministry, we can be God’s instruments in reclaiming the stories of teenagers from trauma to triumph
The Details:
For Kingdom! For Glory! There is a greater purpose for all kids and it entails knowing the love and glory of God! This year, kids will explore how living for God’s glory has long-lasting, fulfilling impacts! The theme verse is Hebrews 12:1: “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.”
Camp will be at Youthfront where all 2nd-5th graders will experience interactive Bible stories, fun games, a snack shack, and a lake fully equipped with a blob, water activities, and lifeguards!

Volunteers are a key part of investing in the next generation! If you’re volunteering for Kids Camp, please look out for a Camp Training Video being sent to you. Please make every effort to turn in all your documents and be ready for Kids Camp!
All are invited! Come worship with us on Sunday April 14 at 9:00 or 10:45am! Following worship services, there will be a big picnic! Pulled pork sandwiches with potluck sides and desserts will be served! We will have tables and chairs set up on our patio for you to enjoy the meal with your family and friends – old and new. Kids can enjoy the play sets and yard games!
Incoming Freshmen-Graduating Seniors are headed to CIY: Move! CIY has been hosting the best camps in the country for decades, and we are so excited to partner with them again for Legacy’s high school camp this summer! This trip for students will include an overnight bus ride to Tennessee, 5 days of engaging programming centered on Jesus, and an adventure day to do exciting activities like river rafting and more!

It’s the expedition of the year! Kids Week is on a quest to grow kids’ understanding of trusting God with all their hearts because He will make their paths straight (Proverbs 3:5)! Ages 4 years old to 5th grade are invited for a 4-day event full of Jesus-centered fun!
Kids Week is filled with crazy-fun games, interactive performances based on Bible stories, snacks, and exciting times with friends! The cost is FREE!
Select the campus you want to serve at and let us know the areas where you’re interested in volunteering! All volunteers over the age of 18 must have a current background check on file at Legacy Christian Church before they can serve with children at Kids Week.
Daily we see God move and work in the details because of both His faithfulness and your prayers. Gather with Legacy as we seek God’s will and pray for Him to do mighty things in and through us!
We will gather at each campus to call on the Lord through prayer to work in our church, through Legacy’s leadership, our missions partners, to heal marriages and families, and ultimately to reach the lost and see the Kingdom of God grow!
Prayer is the center-point of life with God. It should be woven into the fabric of our morning routine, our weekly schedule, and especially with biblical community. It is in prayer where we get to enjoy the Father’s company. Prayer is our opportunity to interact with the Creator God and participate in his work of bringing redemption to earth.
